Hey There Delilah

My house is full of dogs. Four of these dogs are puppies, all different ages, and sometimes it gets hectic. I'm looking forward to the puppies becoming well-mannered adults, but in the mean time, they sure are cute.
This is Delilah. She's a Leopard Cur puppy. A real spit-fire.
She's a good reader - a real fan of the Classics, but she dabbles a bit in the Captain Underpants series, as well.

She looks innocent, but she's got her thinking-wrinkles going.... "What sort of trouble can I get into now?"

Bear Hunters

John is bear hunting this morning. I miss bear hunting. I took this last year, during my 2nd or 3rd bear hunt. Who knew the sun could make dust look so pretty?
My handsome boyfriend, now my handsome husband....

Looking down toward Mt Shasta, over the Scott Valley.....
And for those of you that hunt, this was the bear that was caught that day....

The hunters included Red and Dallas. Red has been under the weather lately, but last night he seemed to really take a turn for the better.  He is currently annoying Ms Gracie out in the kennel. I can hear her hoot at him every once in awhile. She is good at keeping a hound dog in his place.
The lovely Muddy Waters is in this one. She is a top notch Woodchuck Hunter.

Ain't Nothin' But A Hound Dog

These handsome hound dogs are Pepper, Katmandu, and Red.

I took this one when we were out bobcat hunting. It was Katman's first time on the box and as you can see, he was feeling a little woobly. He's excellent at it now and about 6x bigger than he looks here. This one is more recent....

He still thinks he's a puppy.
